Alan Keith Grimes

Mr. Alan Grimes, age 59, of Social Circle passed away Sunday, October 28, 2018.  He was born March 4, 1959 in Atlanta to Reggie and Rose Mary Grimes.  Alan was an avid collector; collecting coins, stamps, pipes, and antiques.  He grew up in Doraville, Georgia, Michigan, and Conyers.  Alan was a graduate of Rockdale County High School and LaGrange College.  He worked in the HVAC industry and also was a customer service representative for Lowes Home Improvement Stores.  Alan was a faithful member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church.  He was preceded in death by his mother Rose Mary Whitaker Grimes and is survived by his father Reggie Grimes of Social Circle, his sister Susan Grimes of Rural Retreat, Virginia, his brother and sister-in-law Rex and Lody Grimes of Monroe, his nephews Chris and Mike Lott, his great nieces Annika and Alyssa along with numerous other family and close friends.  Memorial services for Mr. Grimes will be held at 11 o’clock Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church, 12862 US Highway 278, Social Circle, GA 30025 with Reverend Leah Cunningham officiating.  In lieu of flowers donations to Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church, 12862 US Highway 278, Social Circle, GA 30025.  J.C.
