Barbara Jean (Ray) Bell

Mrs. Barbara Jean Bell, age 76, of Covington died Tuesday, June 19, 2018.  She was born February 13, 1942 in Porterdale to William Thomas and Grace Ruth Ray who have preceded her in death.  Mrs. Bell worked as a caretaker in personal care homes for many years and also worked as a cashier in fast food store in and around Covington.  She enjoyed working outside, gardening, cooking and loved being around children.  Mrs. Bell was preceded in death by her sons Tony and Tommy Bell, her daughter Donna Jean Turpin and her great granddaughter Caliyah Bell.  She is survived by her husband Jack Bell of Covington, her daughter and son-in-law Kim and Gerald Weatherford of Covington, her son Tim Bell of Covington.  Her 3 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild also survive her along with her sister and brother-in-law Julia Ann Montgomery of Covington and a host of other family and close friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. Bell will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, June 22, 2018 at the Chapel of J.C. Harwell and Son with Reverend Stan Patterson officiating.  Interment will follow at Almon Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday, June 21, 2018 at the funeral home.  J.C.
