Bette Carter Obituary

Mrs. Bette W. Carter, age 91, of Covington passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2018. She was born in Orlando, Florida on May 27, 1926 to Jack Lee and Ruby Parham Wright who have preceded her in death. Mrs. Carter grew up in Covington and graduated from Covington High School. She worked for the County Agent of Newton County, W.T. Grant and K-Mart. Mrs. Carter was preceded in death by her husband Donald C. Carter and her daughter Kathy Wilkerson. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law James Mitchel (Patsy) and Christopher S. Carter (Michelle) all of Covington and her daughter Linda Mitchell of Nashville, Tennessee along with 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held for family members at a later date. J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home, 2157 East Street, SE, Covington, GA 30014 is in charge of the arrangements.
