David Russell Dollar

Mr. David Russell Dollar, age 59, of Daytona Beach, Florida passed away August 18, 2017.  He was born in Covington, Georgia on February 16, 1958 to Russell Lionel and Ila Berry Dollar who have preceded him in death.  David grew up in Covington and was a 1976 graduate of Newton County Comprehensive High School.  He was a longtime member of the First Presbyterian Church of Covington.  David was a member of the Atlanta Plumbers and Steam Fitters Union Local 72.  He enjoyed riding his bike on the beach, fishing and he was an avid NASCAR fan.  Mr. Dollar is survived by his brother and sister-in-law; Jeff and Sherry Dollar of Covington, his niece; Katie and his nephew; Russell along with other family and close friends.   

Memorial services for Mr. Dollar will be held at 4 o’clock Sunday, August 27, 2017 at the Chapel of J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home 3:00pm until 4:00pm prior to the service.  J.C.
