David Rex Grimes

Mr. David "Rex" Grimes of Monroe, Georgia passed away Friday, June 21, 2019 at the age of 58.  He was born on December 13, 1960 to Reginald and Rosemary Grimes who have preceded him in death.  Mr. Grimes was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.  He loved to go camping and enjoyed his time fishing and hunting.  Mr. Grimes was a huge Ga Bulldog fan.  He also adored his beloved cat and he had a gentle soul. 

Mr. Grimes was preceded in death by his brother Allan Grimes.  He is survived by his wife, Lourdes Grimes; sons, Chris Lott (April Overby), and Mike Lott; grandchildren, Alyssa and Annika Lott; sister, Susan Grimes, along with many other family members and close friends. 

Memorial services for Mr. Grimes will be held at 2 o’clock Sunday, June 23, 2019 at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church with Reverend Leah Cunningham officiating.  J.C.
