Doris B. (Boss) Autry

Mrs. Doris B. Autry, age 91, of Covington passed away Saturday, October 20, 2018.  She was born November 2, 1926 in Monroe, Georgia to Thomas and Ruby Cleaton Boss who have preceded her in death.  Mrs. Autry was of the Baptist faith and loved going to church.  She enjoyed remaining in contact with several of her high school classmates and did so as recently as 10 years ago.  Mrs. Autry loved music and went often to the Newborn Opry.  She loved her family and especially her grandchildren.  Mrs. Autry was preceded in death by her husband John Henry Autry and her son Stanley Autry.  She is survived by her children Ronnie Autry of Covington, Joey Autry (Jennifer) of Mansfield, John Autry (Joyce) of Bostwick, Elaine Anderson (Doug) of Covington, and Emily Cromer (Greg) of Thomaston along with 11 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren other family and close friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. Autry will be held at 2 o’clock Tuesday October 23, 2018 at the Chapel of J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home with Reverend Matt Abel officiating.  Interment will follow at Carmel Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM until 2:00 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home prior to the service.  J.C.
