Grady "Todd" E. Smith, Jr.

Mr. Grady E. “Todd” Smith, Jr. age 60, of Covington passed away Wednesday, August 28, 2019.  He was born August 17, 1959 in Dekalb County to Grady, Sr and Betty Pierce Smith who have preceded him in death.  Mr. Smith grew up in Tucker and was a graduate of Tucker High School.  He was employed as a craftsman with the Gwinnett Public School System.  Mr. Smith was a strong Christian man and was of the Baptist faith.  He was devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.  Mr. Smith was a talented craftsman and enjoyed wood working.  He is survived by his wife Carolyn Smith, his children Amanda Hansard (Randy), Kim Kotkiewicz (Mark), Scot Smith (Kim), and his granddaughter Katie Kotkiewicz.  Along with 3 brothers, 3 sisters, and a host of other family and close friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Smith will be held at 1 o’clock Friday, August 30, 2019 at the Chapel of J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home with Chaplin Tom Lee officiating.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM on Friday prior to the service.  J.C.
