Helen (Fowler) Smith

Mrs. Helen Smith, age 91, a longtime resident of Social Circle passed away Thursday, December 21, 2017.  She was born in Monticello, Indiana to Charles ad Frances Fowler who have preceded her in death.  Mrs. Smith was a registered nurse and worked as a school nurse for a number of years.  She was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.  Mrs. Smith was Catholic by faith and a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church.  She was preceded in death by her son David A. Smith.  Mrs. Smith is survived by her husband, Albert W. Smith her children, Linda and Philip Smith of Dallas, Georgia Mark S. Smith of Conyers, Matthew W. and Sheila Smith of Mt. Airy, Georgia Carol Nicholson of Douglasville, Georgia Michael A. and Dana Smith of Covington Nancy and Brian Sutterfield of Euharlee, Georgia along with 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.  A funeral mass will be held at 12 o’clock, Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 11524 Hwy 278, Covington, GA 30014 with Father Roberto Orellana officiating.  In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials be made to St. Vincent De Paul Ministry at St. Augustine Catholic Church by contacting the church office at 770-787-1064.  J.C.
