Jeanette "Sittee" Booth

Mrs. Jeanette “Sittee” Booth, age 86, passed away peacefully in her home December 16, 2017.  She was born May 10, 1931 in Aiken, South Carolina to Ida Toole and Walter Ford who have preceded her in death.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother.  Mrs. Booth was known as Sittee by her family and anyone who loved her dearly.  She spent most of her life in Covington, Georgia where she owned her own hair salon, The Beauty Box, before retiring spending quality time doing what she loved. She was a faithful member of Lovejoy United Methodist  Church for over 25 years.   Sittee found her joy doing anything outside.  She could rake and burn leaves all day when she wasn’t tending to her flowers.  Some of the best memories were spent at Sittee’s house during the holidays.  She could cook enough food to feed a small army.  Sittee was preceded in death by her husband, Art Booth and her granddaughter, Tara Sizemore.  She is survived by her children; Joey and Mildred Huckabee, Crystal and Don Rice, Rodney and Glenda Huckabee, Marsha Sizemore, sister; Mariam Hall, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, two nephews, a niece, along with many other family and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 12 0’clock, Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at the Chapel of J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home with Reverend Rick Gravitt and Reverend Clayton Bone officiating.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00-12:00 prior to the service.
