Joan C. (Cantrell) Pfirman

Mrs. Joan C. Pfirman, age 62, of Monticello passed away Thursday, June 7, 2018.  She was born in Porterdale on April 8, 1956 and grew up in Covington.  Mrs. Pfirman worked in city and county government offices for both Rockdale County and the City of Porterdale.  She was a member of Stewart Baptist Church.  Mrs. Pfirman was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend.  She enjoyed fishing, riding motorcycles with her husband, gardening, and especially loved being with her family.  Joan was preceded in death by her father Robert H. Cantrell, Sr “Harry” and her brother Robert H. Cantrell, Jr “Bob”.  She is survived by her husband Frank Pfirman of Monticello, her daughter and son-in-law Loquita and Keith Buckhault, her son and daughter-in-law Christopher and Shena Marable, her grandchildren Keith, Drew, Blayne, Savannah, Paitlyn and Paisley her mother Shirley Cantrell her sister and brother-in-law Barbara and Frank Rogers, her brother and sister-in-law, Greg and Stacy Cantrell and her sister-in-law Ragen Cantrell all of Covington along with a several nieces, nephews, other family and close friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. Pfirman will be held at 2 o’clock Sunday, June 10, 2018 at Stewart Baptist Church with Reverend Jerry Jones officiating.  Interment will follow at the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends at J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM on Saturday, June 9, 2018.  In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to the American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org or the American Diabetes Association, 2451 Crystal Drive, Suite 900, Arlington, VA 22202.  J.C.
