John S. Walden

Mr. John S. Walden, age 76, a lifelong resident of Conyers passed away Sunday, September 8, 2019.  He was born December 6, 1942 in Conyers to his parents Samuel and Gillie Mae Bell Walden who have preceded him in death.  Mr. Walden was a truck driver and a Master Mason at Zingara Lodge F&AM #519 as well as a member of the Scottish Rite and York Rite.  He was a devoted loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, great-great grandfather, brother, and friend.  Mr. Walden was a strong Christian who loved his Jesus and reading his Bible.  He was preceded in death by his daughter Regina Charlene George, and his grandson Kenneth Charles Ryan Gosse. 

Mr. Walden is survived by his wife Mrs. Geraldine Walden, his children Karen Janzen and her husband Erich of Conyers, Sharon Gosse and her husband Kenneth of McDonough, and John Samuel Walden and his wife Shelley of Opelika, AL, his sisters Betty Aileen Owens of Covington, and Willie Mae Arnold of Conyers along with his 15 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, and a host of other family and close friends.

Graveside services for Mr. Walden will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at Walden Cemetery, 120 Crowell Road SE, Conyers, GA 30094, with Reverend Tim Walden officiating.  J.C.
