Ken Pope

Mr. Ken Pope, age 53, a lifelong resident of Covington passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2019.  He was born in Atlanta of November 5, 1965 and grew up in Covington.  Mr. Pope enjoyed hunting, fishing, and was a great family man who loved game night with his children.  He graduated from Newton County High School in 1984 and served in the United States Army at Fort Benning.  Mr. Pope was preceded in death by his father Joseph Oscar Pope.  He is survived by his wife Shelly Pope of Covington, his children Stephen Pope, Cameron Pope, and Miranda Sanville all of Covington, his mother Iris Pope, his brothers and sisters-in-law Joe and Jeanette Pope, Mike and Joyce Pope, and Russ and Jeanie Pope along with numerous nieces, nephews, other family and close friends.

Memorial services for Mr. Pope will be held at 2 o’clock Saturday, May 4, 2019 at the Chapel of J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home with Reverend Jason Johnson officiating.  J.C.
