Mr. Leon Bohanan Sr., age 83, of Covington, passed away Sunday, April 28, 2019. He was born in Huntsville, Alabama on July 3, 1935 to D.N and Bonnie Bohanan who have preceded him in death. Mr. Bohanan came to Georgia in 1968 and was a painter. He enjoyed woodworking and spending time with his family. Mr. Bohanan is preceded in death by his sisters, Minnie Bohanan and Evelyn Carter, as well as his brother Harvey Bohanan and his son Gregory Bohanan.
Mr. Bohanan is survived by his wife of 53 years Joyce Bohanan, his son Leon Bohanan Jr. (Sandy) of Covington, daughter Angela Nave (Thomas) of Covington, his brother Tommy Bohanan of Huntsville, Alabama, along with his eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
The family will have a private service at a later date. J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home, 2157 East Street, SE, Covington, GA 30014 is in charge of the arrangements.
