Mary J. (Mohon) Dover

Mrs. Mary J. Dover, age 79, a longtime resident of Covington passed away Wednesday, May 29, 2019.  She was born May 24, 1940 in Marietta, Georgia to Carl and Evelyn Dunn Mohon who have preceded her in death.  Mrs. Dover enjoyed watching wrestling, going shopping, and being with her grandbabies.  She is of the Baptist faith and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend.  Mrs. Dover was preceded in death by her husband Claude Arnold Dover and her son Jerry Eugene “Gene” Dover.  She is survived by her daughters Margie Vaught of Stockbridge and Loretta Lynn “Spider” Rainey of Athens, her sister Jackie Parker of Mableton, her grandchildren Joey Vaught, Bryan Johnson, Rachel Fuller, Erika Donegan, and Zachary Vaught, her great grandchildren Madison, Carter, Asher, Greyson, Liam, and Jack, her longtime best friend Ms. Pitts, along with numerous other family and close friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. Dover will be held at 2 o’clock Saturday, June 1, 2019 at the Chapel of J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home with Pastor Bryan Johnson officiating.  Interment will follow at Lawnwood Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday, May 31, 2019.  J.C.
