Patty Slaughter

Patty Slaughter, age 61, of Covington passed away Thursday, January 18, 2018.  She was born March 18, 1956 in Dalton Georgia to Harry and Doris Moore who have preceded her in death.  Patty was a Para-Professional with the Newton County School system working at Live Oak Elementary.  She was 1975 graduate of Newton County High School.  Patty loved working with children and listen to music.  She always enjoyed visiting Athens and was a Georgia Bulldog fan. 

Ms. Slaughter is survived by her daughter Elizabeth Ondo and her husband Chris of Athens, her grand-puppy Riley her brother Jeff Johnson of Birmingham her sisters, Shiryl Capps and her husband Page of Covington and Paula Johnson of Griffin along with a host of friends. 

Memorial services for Patty will be held at 7 o’clock Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at the Chapel of J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Tuesday prior to the service.  In lieu of flowers the family has ask for donations to be sent to Extra Special People, http://www.extraspecialpeople.com.  J.C.
