Rod Martin

Mr. Rod Martin, age 51, a lifelong resident of Newton County passed away Friday, December 6, 2019.  He was born May 24, 1968 in Athens to Carl Benton and Mamie Johnson Martin who have preceded him in death. 

Rod was a passionate man who lived, loved, and enjoyed life to the fullest.  He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, working on his property, building houses, barns, and structures.  Rod was an engineer with Astro Plastic.  Along with his parents Rod was preceded in death by his brother Gary Carl Martin.  He is survived by his sister Robbin Leigh Martin, his nephew Triston Rozier, along with a host of other family and numerous friends.

Memorial services for Rod will be held at 11 o’clock Saturday, December 14, 2019 at the Chapel of J.C. Harwell and Son with Pastor Ricky Bradford officiating.  J.C.
