Ruby (Gonzales) Bonner

Mrs. Ruby Bonner, age 79, of Covington passed away Wednesday, May 16, 2018.  She was born in Devine, Texas on June 25, 1938 to Rudolfo and Luisa Costillo Gonzales who have preceded her in death.  Mrs. Bonner enjoyed decorating and traveled extensively across the United States and Canada.  She owned and operated Ruby’s Gift’s in both Jacksonville, Florida and Social Circle, Georgia.  Mrs. Bonner was a member of Starrsville United Methodist Church.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. 

Mrs. Bonner is survived by her husband James E. “Jimmy” Bonner, her children and their spouses Debra Day (Tom) of Norfolk, Virginia, Kathy Hanks (Kenny) also of Norfolk, Virginia, Ray and Becky Dominguez of Lawrenceville, Johnny and Jamie Briggs of Chicago, Illinois, Deb DeMars ( Lyle Sinell) of Jacksonville, FL, Jim Bonner (Tammy) of Loganville, Georgia and Bill Bonner (Cricket) of Baxley, Georgia, her brothers and sisters Johnny Gonzales, Wally Gonzales, Butch Gonzales, Mary Jane Gonzales and Eva Sheffield along with 13 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other family and close friends.

Memorial services for Mrs. Bonner will be held at 2 o’clock, Saturday, May 26, 2018 at Starrsville United Methodist Church, 2786 Dixie Road, Covington, GA 30014, with Reverend Tony Gatter.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM prior to the service and a reception will follow the service in the fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Starrsville United Methodist Church, 2786 Dixie Road, Covington, GA 30014.  J.C.
