Rudean Worthy Lovell

Mrs. Rudean Worthy Lovell, age 95, a longtime resident of Conyers passed away Wednesday, November 6, 2019.  She was born on February 3, 1924 in Loganville, Georgia to Roger and Odessa Worthy who have preceded her in death.  Mrs. Lovell enjoyed blue grass music and could play any instrument.  She loved being with her family, singing with her children, doing puzzles, gardening, and cooking. 

Mrs. Lovell was preceded in death by her first husband Judson David Mayo, her second husband David Lovell, her daughter Vivian Hayes, her brothers Lonnie Worthy, Branson Worthy, and David Worthy along with her sister Leona Johnson.  She is survived by her children Maryland Hanshaw of Oxford, Shelia Whitehead (Loyd) of Oxford, Wesley Mayo (Rita) of Covington, Dean Mayo (Pam) of Covington, and Becky Garrett of Conyers, her brother Harold Worthy of Conyers and her sister Bobby Maddox of Conyers.  Mrs. Lovell is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 16 great-great grandchildren and a host of other family and close friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. Lovell will be held at 2 o’clock Friday, November 8, 2019 at the Chapel of J. C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home with Reverend C.A. Register officiating.  Interment will follow at Green Meadow Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends from 1:oo PM until service time on Friday.  J.C.
