Ruth Myers Sams

Mrs. Ruth Sams, age 72, of Newborn, Georgia passed away March 29, 2017.  She was born in Paulding, Ohio on July 16, 1944 to her parents, Earl Commadoll and Esther Mott, who have preceded her in death.  Mrs. Sams was a loving stepmother, wife, grandmother, and sister.  Her husband, Wayne Sams, describes her as his best friend.  Mrs. Sams was loved by everyone; she was outgoing, funny, and adored her dogs, Fred, Bandi, and Rudy.  She was well known in the community; where she was a member of the Newborn Tree Board, active in the Newborn Area Heritage Trust, and served on the Newborn City Council.  Mrs. Sams was preceded in death by her brothers, David and Nick Mott.

Mrs. Sams is survived by her husband; Wayne Sams, her step-sons and daughters-in-law; Glenn and Karie Leigh Sams, Eric Sams, Graham and Malia Sams, Christopher and Cory Sams, grandchildren; Levi and Hannah Sams, Hollie Wines, Leighton Wines, Abrey Sams, Christian Sams, Evan Sams, Carter Sams, Gavin Sams, brothers; Theodore Commadoll, Ned Mott, Keith and Becky Mott.  She is also survived by a host of other family and loving friends. 

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 2:00pm until 4:00pm on Sunday, April 2, 2017 at J.C.
