S. Larry Greer

Mr. S. Larry Greer, age 85, of Covington passed away Sunday, June 9, 2019.  He was born July 3, 1933 in Oxford, GA to William Thomas “Tom”, Sr and Ethel Viola Moore Greer who have preceded him in death.  Mr. Greer was a member of Callie Fuller Baptist Church, served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War, and was retired from the State of Georgia.  He was preceded in death by his first wife Kathryn Farr Greer and his brother Thomas Greer. 

Mr. Greer is survived by his wife Cheri Greer his children Tamea Price of Rock Hill, SC, Kaylar Howard and Drew of Sycamore, GA, Stefini Smith and Kenny of Griffin, GA, Judson Greer and Shara of Covington, and Jacki Tyler and Donald of Monticello his step children Roxann Bennett of Belton, TX, Suzann Maughon and Dan of Jackson, GA, and Trudy Nail and Jimmy of Covington his 14 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren, and 8 step great grandchildren along with a host of other family and close friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Greer will be held at 12:00 PM Saturday, June 15, 2019 at the Chapel of J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home with Reverend Charles Roper officiating.  Interment will follow at the Covington City Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM Saturday prior to the service.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Callie Fuller Baptist, 2690 Hwy 212 W., Monticello, GA 31064 or The Retreat Nursing Home, 898 College Street, Monticello, GA 31064.  J.C.
