Shirley Ann Bartsch

Ms. Shirley Ann Bartsch, age 78, of Covington passed away Sunday, February 24th, 2019. She was born in Mankato, Minnesota March 22, 1940 to Herman and Edna Kawell. Ms. Bartsch loved to read, enjoyed taking her granddaughters to dance and watching them perform, enjoyed the ocean and spent most of her life in southern California. She came to Georgia several years ago to help care for her granddaughter Caroline. Ms. Bartsch loved pink roses.

Ms. Bartsch is survived by her brother Duane Kawell (Sue) and their families of Fairbault, Minnesota and her sister Joan Proehl (David) and their families of Minnesota Lake, Minnesota. Her daughters Wendy Huf (Steve) of Social Circle and Jody Jones of Covington, her granddaughters Kristina Mills (Jake) of Conyers, Caroline Huf of Social Circle. Caroline is in the seventh grade at the Newton County Theme School where “Grammy” enjoyed years of volunteering.
