Tina (Rider) Rice

Tina Rice, age 51, of Oxford passed away Sunday, December 30, 2018.  She was born July 31, 1967 in Covington to Bennie and Geraldine Garner Rider who have preceded her in death.  Tina grew up in Covington and was a 1985 graduate of Newton County High School.  She very artistic and enjoyed painting and drawing.  Tina was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.  She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. Ms. Rice is survived by her children John Rice of Brookhaven, Jacob Rice (Chelsey) Rice of Conyers, and Molly Price (Joshua) of Covington, her granddaughter Madilynn Price, her brothers Cricket Rider (Jeaneen) and Steve Rider (Vicki) all of Oxford along with numerous nieces, nephews, other family and close friends.

Memorial services for Tina will be held at 11 o’clock Thursday, January 3, 2018 at the Chapel of J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home with Reverend Tim Walden officiating.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM prior to the service on Thursday.  J.C.
