Trellis P Gunnells

Mrs. Trellis Parker Gunnells, age 94, of Covington passed away Sunday, November 18, 2018.  She was born July 2, 1924 in Newton County to Lester and Leola Fincher Parker who have preceded her in death.  Mrs. Gunnells was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend.  She was of the Baptist faith.  Mrs. Gunnells was a wonderful conversationalist and always enjoyed fellowship with her family and friends.  Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Frank Gunnells, Jr, her brothers Junior Parker, Boyce Parker, and Joe Parker. 

Mrs. Gunnells is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Steve and Davilyn Gunnells, her granddaughter Stephenie and Russell Coleman, her great grandchildren Camp Coleman and Parker Coleman, her sister-in-law Elizabeth Parker along with numerous nieces, nephews, other family and close friends.

Graveside services for Mrs. Gunnells will be held at 12:30 PM Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at Stewart Church Cemetery with Reverend Andy Parker officiating.  The family will receive friends at J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM on Wednesday prior to the service.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to your church or to a charity of your choice.  J.C.
