Wade Garner

Mr. Wade Garner, age 68, a lifelong resident of Oxford passed away Friday, October 11, 2019.  He was born April 22, 1951 to Grover and Reba Nell Garner who have preceded him in death.  Mr. Garner was a member of New Life Baptist Church.  He worked for many years in the commercial construction field.  Mr. Garner enjoyed life and loved making people laugh.  Mr. Garner loved his family very much and loved spending time with his children, his grandchildren and his great grandchild.  He was a wonderful musician and could play any instrument, his favorite being the guitar. 

Mr. Garner is survived by his wife of 50 years Sue Maddox Garner; his children Angie Marks and her husband Rob of Covington, and Lisa Poole of Oxford; his grandchildren Tyler, Travis, Taylor, Tucker, Tate, Tara, and Tori; his great grandchild Brody along with a host of other family and close friends.

Memorial services for Mr. Garner will be held at 4 o’clock Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at New Life Baptist Church, 2700 Zingara Road NE, Conyers, GA 30012 with Reverend Max Clifton officiating.  The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society
