Wilbur D. Fincher

Mr. Wilbur Fincher, age 83, of Conyers passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2018.  He was born in Covington on July 11, 1934 to William Sim and Georgie Kitchens Fincher who have preceded him in death.  Mr. Fincher served in the United States Air Force as a medic.  He was a Master Mason and member at Ancient York #127.  Mr. Fincher retired from the Georgia Department of Transportation as a Project Manager.  He was a member of Eastridge Community Church.  Mr. Fincher was preceded in death by his wife Sara E. “Libby” Fincher.  He is survived by his step sons Michael Palmer and his wife Tara of Oxford, Joseph Palmer and his wife Donna of Pace Florida, his brothers and sister-in-law Carroll Fincher of Covington and J.W. Fincher and his wife Emma Lou of Jackson along with a host of nieces, nephews, other family and close friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o’clock Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Eastridge Community Church Covington Campus, 863 Hwy 142 E, Covington, GA 30014.  Interment will follow at Lawnwood Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 PM Saturday until service time.   J.C.
