Mr. Weldon’s most lasting legacy is the wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend he was. He was strong, dedicated and faithful to his family and a true friend. He always beamed when speaking of his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He could always be counted on by family as well as friends and was known during his career in the automobile industry as someone who was completely trustworthy and loyal. He served in the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II and afterward worked his way up from the service department at Central Chevrolet in Atlanta to partnership of Star Chevrolet in Griffin, Ga.

He also is survived by sister in law, Virginia Brown and many nieces and nephews.
His family and friends will so miss the enthusiastic welcome we always received from him as we entered his home. We will miss hearing him talk about his love of his yard work which he continued to do up until his last hour on earth, and we will always remember the determination and faith in the Lord that sustained his caring for his wife and anyone who needed him. As his soul enters heaven he is surely welcomed by the words, “well done my good and faithful servant.”
