Aiden Usiak passed away on April 13, 2026, at the age of 13. Born on October 16, 2012, in Covington, he brought joy, warmth, and light into the lives of all who knew him. He was a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend whose gentle spirit and kind heart will be remembered always.
Aiden was the cherished son of Chris and Stephanie Usiak and the adored brother of Cadence Usiak, and he loved his 2 dogs Atticus and Jax very much as well. He was deeply loved by his grandparents, John and Ann Koss and Sue and Steve Usiak, and by his aunt and uncles, Brittany, Steve, Andy, and Tommy. He also leaves behind numerous cousins, other family members, and many friends who will forever hold his memory close. The love surrounding Aiden was great, and he returned that love freely and sincerely to everyone in his life.
Aiden was a student at Newton County STEAM Academy, where he continued to learn, grow, and share his bright personality with those around him. He approached life with a loving, kind, and friendly nature that made him easy to know and impossible to forget. His presence had a way of making others feel welcome, and his big heart was one of his most defining and beautiful qualities.
He enjoyed many things that reflected his joyful spirit and youthful energy. Aiden played baseball with the Social Circle Squirrels travel team and took pride in being part of the game and the friendships that came with it. He also loved music and enjoyed playing the piano and trumpet. In his free time, he liked video games, collected Pokémon cards, and looked forward to amusement parks and roller coasters. These interests brought him happiness, but nothing meant more to him than the time he spent with his family and friends, whom he loved very much.
Aiden will be remembered for the sweetness of his personality, the kindness in his heart, and the way he made life brighter for those around him. Though his time here was far too short, the impact he made will remain forever in the hearts of those who loved him. His memory will continue to live on through the many lives he touched, and he will be dearly missed every day.
A memorial service for Aiden will be held at 4 o’clock, Friday, April 24, 2026, at the Chapel of J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home. The family will gather with friends from 3:00 PM until 4:00 PM prior to the service.
