Alice Maxine Blankenship

Mrs. Alice Maxine Blankenship, age 87, of Oxford passed away April 21, 2020.  She was born April 7, 1933 in Porterdale, Georgia to Marvin Mills and Modine Costley who have preceded her in death.  Mrs. Blankenship was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Covington, loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, enjoyed cooking, was a huge fan of all sports especially, GA Tech basketball team, was active in The Silver Hair Legislation, and was a hairdresser for many years at Riverside Nursing Home.  She was married for 65 years to Elmer Hoke Blankenship, Sr. who has preceded her in death.  Mrs. Blankenship was also preceded in death by her siblings; Marvin Mills, Jr., Catherine Horton, Dorothy Donaldson, Harold Mills, and Larry Mills.  She is survived by her children; Hoke Blankenship, Jr. and Connie, Tim Blankenship, and Trent Blankenship; her grandchildren, Shane and Tammy Blankenship, Crystal Blankenship, and Bryan Blankenship; great-grandchildren, Kobie Wright, Jordan Reed, and Savannah Blankenship, along with other family members and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to First Presbyterian Church of Covington, 1169 Clark St. SW Covington, Ga 30014.
