April Denise (Stevens) Fitzgerald

April Denise Fitzgerald of Covington, Georgia, passed away Friday February 25, 2022. She was born on March 17, 1972 to Patti and Scotty Stevens in Jonesboro, Arkansas. April is preceded in death by her mother Patti Stevens, brother Nicolas Stevens, and uncle Russell Stevens. April is survived by her husband Ron Fitzgerald, daughter Presley Raines (Bryan Raines), son Houston Fitzgerald, brother Jason Stevens, father Scotty Stevens, niece Daeleigh Stevens, and many aunts, uncles, and friends who loved her dearly.

April was raised in West Memphis, Arkansas and graduated from West Memphis High School. April was a devoted wife and mother who took pride in doing everything she could for her family. April had a personality that drew in every person she ever met. She was kind, loving, joyous, hysterically funny, and had the most infectious smile. April impacted each person she encountered and had the best soul. She enjoyed being an active member at Crossroads Baptist Church and a loyal follower of God. April loved being with her family and precious pets. She was the definition of a matriarch to her family and was an absolute gift to this world.

Funeral services for April will be held at 2 o’clock Saturday, March 5, 2022 at the Chapel of J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home with Reverend Brandon Stanley officiating.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Saturday prior to the service.
