Barbara Stapp Obituary

Mrs. Barbara Jean Stapp passed away on March 24, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born on August 9, 1955, in Dayton, Ohio, Barbara's journey through life was marked by her unwavering devotion to her loved ones and the joy she found in the simplest of pleasures.

Barbara's life was a testament to the power of love and the strength of family bonds. She was the cherished wife of Jimmy Stapp for 53 years, a partnership that stood as a beacon of commitment and affection. Her legacy continues through her children, Lisa Stapp, Jamey Stapp (Monica), and Robbie Stapp, who will carry forward the values and lessons she instilled in them. Barbara's role as a grandmother was one she embraced with every ounce of her being, showering Tayler, Hannah, Blake, Zack, Jordan, McKayla, and Anna Bell with love and attention. Her great-grandchildren, Gracie, Ivey, Evelyn, Easton, Ryleigh, Lee, Waylon, Blakely, and Kaiden, were blessed to experience the warmth of her embrace.

Barbara's life was not only defined by her family but also by the care she extended to all those around her. Her nieces, nephews, other family members, and close friends knew they had in her a steadfast ally and confidante. Her caring nature was further evidenced by the special bond she shared with her beloved dog, Jazzie, who was a source of constant joy and companionship.

Known for her impeccably kept home, Barbara took pride in maintaining a welcoming and pristine environment for her family and guests. Her love for cleaning was more than a hobby; it was an expression of her love for her family, creating a sanctuary where memories were made and cherished.

Barbara's departure is preceded by her parents, Robert and Dorothy Mayer, and her siblings, Linda Pace, Betty Koon, and Paul Mayer, who have welcomed her into eternal rest. Her absence leaves a void in the hearts of those she leaves behind, but her spirit remains an indelible part of the lives she touched.

The family will celebrate Barbara’s life at a later date. J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home has been entrusted with these services.
