Betty T. (Thompson) Mask

Mrs. Betty T. Mask, age 90, a longtime resident of Covington passed away Thursday, March 9, 2023.  She was born March 22,1932 in Paducah, Kentucky to William Earl and Clodelle Pierce Thompson who have preceded her in death.  Mrs. Mask worked for Cawthon Brother’s Gas for 25 years and Ameri Gas for 5 years.  She was a founding member of Stewart Community Church and formerly a member of Stewart Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for 30 years.  Mrs. Mask was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend.  She was preceded in death by her husband W. M. Mask; her son and daughter-in-law David and Judy Mask; her son-in-law Mike Hamner; and her husband Sam Mask.

Mrs. Mask is survived by her son Danny Mask and his wife Darol of Covington; her daughter Sheryl Hamner of Covington; her grandchildren Brad Harper, Jennifer Mask, Ashley and Josh Franklin, Justin and Ericka Hamner, and Wilson Mask; her great grandchildren Brock Guice, Bailey Franklin, and Logan Franklin; her step children Nancy and Jerry Day, Allen and Nancy Mask and their families; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and many close friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. Mask will be held at 3 o’clock Saturday, March 11, 2023, at Stewart Community Church with Pastor Jason Johnson and Judge Samuel Ozburn officiating.  Interment will follow at Stewart Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM prior to the service on Saturday.  Flowers are accepted or those desiring may make donations to Stewart Community Church, 13645 GA Hwy 36, Covington, GA, 30014.
