Billy Pace

Mr. Billy Pace, age 75, a lifelong resident of Covington passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2020.  He was born April 8, 1945 in Covington.  Mr. Pace was a graduate of Newton County High School and proudly served in the United States Air Force for 8 years.  Mr. Pace worked for Hercules for 15 years, and was a mechanic.  He enjoyed racing, building racing motors, and could fix anything.  Mr. Pace was preceded in death by his father William Harold “Jot” Pace and his older brother Sam Pace and is survived by his wife Darlene Pace of Covington, his mother Evelyn Pace, age 99, of Covington, his brother and sister-in-law Richard and Pam Pace of Covington along with numerous other family and close friends.  Graveside services for Mr. Pace will be held at 2 o’clock Saturday, May 30, 2020 at Lawnwood Memorial Park with Pastor David Wheeler officiating.
