Mr. Billy Roberson, age 74, of Conyers passed away Friday, February 26, 2021. He was born November 21, 1946 in McRae, Georgia and grew up in Pike County. Mr. Roberson is retired from Ingles Grocery Stores. He enjoyed raising chickens, having a garden, going to flea markets, and looking at antiques. Mr. Roberson was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend; nothing pleased him more than being with his family especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents William and Mary Roberson, his son Kevin Roberson, his brothers Johnny, and H.B., and his sisters Iris, Ruth, and Jane.
Mr. Roberson is survived by his wife Theresa Roberson, his son and daughter-in-law Billy and Linda Roberson of Woodville, his grandchildren Seth, Victoria, and Justin his great grandchildren Nova, Elly, and Adam his siblings Lou Merritt, Math Roberson, Taft Roberson, Warner Roberson, and Robert Roberson along with numerous other family and close friends.
Graveside services for Mr. Roberson will be held at 3 o’clock Monday, March 1, 2021 at Williams-Payne Cemetery in Monticello. The family will receive friends at J.C. Due to the COVID 19/Coronavirus Pandemic all Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) requirements will be followed. There is a limit of 50 people at any large gathering, social distancing must be recognized, the use of a mask is encouraged, and most importantly if you feel sick or have any symptoms of COVID 19 you will not be allowed to attend the service.
