Bobby Barnett

Mr. Bobby Barnett, age 77, of Monroe passed away Thursday, November 2, 2023. He was born in Cullman, Alabama to Robert and Dorothy Barnett. Mr. Barnett grew up in Stone Mountain, Georgia. He was an accomplished carpenter by trade and enjoyed his work in the building of restaurants and homes. Mr. Barnett was an avid outdoorsman; he loved to hunt and fish. But more than all of this was his love for his family. Mr. Barnett was preceded in death by his parents and his grandson Garrett Barnett.

Mr. Barnett is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Sarah Barnett. His children Tim Barnett (Angie), Kevin Barnett (Janet), and Carrie Lester (Scott Weiss); his grandchildren Cody Lester, Keaton Lester, Austin Barnett, Aubree Barnett; his great grandchildren Kenzlee Lester, Bryce Lester, Liam Lester, Kolton Lester, Charles Barnett; as well as a host of other family and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 4 o'clock Sunday, November 12, 2023 at the Chapel of J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home with The Reverend Doctor Jan McCoy officiating.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3:00 PM until 4:00 PM prior to the service of Sunday.
