Bonnie J. Brunson

Mrs. Bonnie J. Brunson, age 72, a lifelong resident of Newton County passed away May 26, 2023.  She was born May 12, 1951 at the Porterdale Hospital to Arthur Robinson and Annie Mae Blizzard Johnson who have preceded her in death.  Mrs. Brunson graduated from Newton County High School and worked many years as a patient representative at Newton General Hospital.  She loved cooking and sending cards to her friends and family. Mrs. Brunson was a loving wife, mother, and sister who was a wonderful Christian and attended church at NEW LIFE Praise Center.  Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters Roxy Johnson and Mary Carolyn Harrison.

Mrs. Brunson is survived by her husband of 53 years LaMoyne Brunson; her son Artie Brunson; her brothers Andy Johnson (Bonnie Martin), and David Johnson (Frankie) all of Covington.  She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, other family members and many close friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. Brunson will be held at 2 o’clock Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at NEW LIFE Praise Center with Pastor Justin Adams officiating.  Interment will follow at High Point Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Tuesday prior to the service.
