Mrs. Brenda Cowan Coltharp, age 79, of Oxford, Georgia passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2022. She was born on October 29, 1942 to Charles and Rachel Cowan who have preceded her in death. She grew them in her garden and would have a big pot ready for friends and family anytime there was a gathering. Along with her parents, Mrs. Coltharp is preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, John D. Coltharp, Sr., siblings, Sandra Presely and Jabo Cowan.
She is survived by her daughter, Tammy McMullen; son and daughter-in-law, Doug and Tina Coltharp; grandchildren, Chase and his wife Lindsey, Taylor, J.D. and his fiancé Melanie, Aubrey; great-grandchildren, Karson, Westin, Stetson; brother, Gregg Cowan, numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and close friends. Anytime Mrs. Coltharp would leave she would tell her family, “See you in the funny papers!”
