Ms. Brenda Dianne Hughes, age 62, of Covington passed away Monday, November 13, 2023. She was born to Albert and Brenda Irene Shannon on December 6, 1960. Ms. Hughes was a lifelong Covington resident. She enjoyed playing her guitar and spending time with her friends and family. Ms. Hughes has been preceded in death by her father Albert Shannon and her brother Timothy Shannon.

Ms. Hughes is survived by her children Chris Hughes, Crystal Hughes, Cherry Hughes, Cody Debord, and Zachary Chance Hughes; her eleven grandchildren and one great grandchild; her sisters Tina Clark (Dale) and Karen Clark, her brothers Joseph McCallie (Kim) and Benjamin McCallie (Melinda); along with a host of other family and friends.

Funeral Services for Ms. Hughes will be held at 2 o’clock Friday, November 17, 2023 in the Chapel of J.C. Harwell & Son Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the New Covington Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM prior to the service. J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home has been entrusted with these arrangements.
