Catherine Leona (Gibson) Peacock

Catherine Leona Peacock, age 87, passed away peacefully at her home on October 14, 2025.  She was born on October 10, 1938 in Cobb County Georgia to Clyde and Elizabeth Gibson who have preceded her in death.  Along with her parents she was also preceded in death by her children, Janice Cook and Joyce Fisher, as well as several of her siblings. She was a wonderful cook, who loved spending time with her family.  She also enjoyed growing beautiful flowers, and was a card shark who enjoyed the challenge of the game.   

Ms. Peacock was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother. She leaves behind a legacy through her surviving children: Diane Christian, Bill and Barbara Hannan, Debbie Day, Dale Lindsey, Dickie and Shannon Price, and Jamie Price; her devoted son-in-law, Randy Cook; her 26 grandchildren, 63 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters, Darlene Herrington, Dorothy Cranford, and Grace Reynolds, along with numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and a host of friends.

Funeral services for Ms. Peacock will be held at 1 o’clock Thursday, October 16, 2025 at the Chapel of J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home with Pastor Danny Sorrells officiating.  Interment will follow at Green Meadow Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM on Thursday, before the service.
