Chad Cope

Mr. Chad Cope, age 33, of Covington passed away February 7, 2023.  He was born November 10, 1989 in Conyers and grew up in Covington.  Chad was a “Jack of All Trades” from driving every piece of equipment, and vehicles his grandfather Puddy had, to helping his Daddy build any and everything, he was truly one of a kind.  Chad loved riding dirt bikes and when he was 8 years old, he won the 7 and 8 year old division 50cc Dirt Bike Championship.  Chad was preceded in death by his mother Tara Johnson Adair, and his grandfather Buck Cope. 

He is survived by his father Kevin Cope (Tiffanie); his daughter Kali Cope; his grandparents Sue Cope, Phil and Rita Johnson, and Puddy and Shelba Bullard; his siblings Cassidy, Kelsey, Jesse, Jordan, Jared, and Justin; his step-dad Jason Adair; his aunts and uncles Michael Johnson (Lori), Joel Cope (Tracie), Tonya Bullard (Josh Evans), Braden Johnson (Chelsea), Dylan Johnson (Hillary), and Mia Thompson (Todd); along with a host of other family members and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at 5 o’clock Saturday, August 5, 2023 at the Chapel of J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home with Reverend Jeff Hegwood and Reverend Steve Moyers officiating.  The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM prior to the service of Saturday.
