Obituary

Mr. Charles S. “Chuck” Petralito, age 96 of Eatonton, Georgia and Marco Island, Florida passed away Sunday, November 15, 2020.  He was born in Lawrence, Massachusetts on August 21, 1924 to Saverio and Raffaela Privitera Petralito who have preceded him in death.  Mr. Petralito grew up in Lawrence, graduated from Lawrence High School, and also graduated from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy.  He served proudly in the United States Army during World War II and fought at the Battle of the Bulge.  Mr. Petralito was a sales representative for Parke Davis, he owned and operated Mandell’s Pharmacy in Hartford, Connecticut and continued his career working for CVS in the Atlanta area until he was 84 years old.  Mr. Petralito enjoyed playing golf, he loved being with his family, and spending time in Marco Island.  He was a devoted husband to his wife of 70 years, and was a loving father, grandfather, and friend.  Mr. Petralito was catholic by faith and together with his wife attended San Marco Catholic Church in Marco Island and Christ Our King and Savior Catholic Church in Greensboro.

Mr. Petralito is survived by his children Neal Petri of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, Gary Petralito and his wife Debbie of Farmington, CT, and Kim Richter and her husband Scott of Eatonton, GA, his grandchildren Lindsey, Wayne and his wife Allie, Taylor, and Connor along with a host of other family and close friends. 

A memorial mass celebrating the life of Mr. Petralito will be held at a later date.  Those desiring may make contributions to your favorite charity in honor of Mr. Petralito.   J.C.
