Chip Shivers

Chip Shivers, age 73, of Sebastian, Florida, formerly of Social Circle, passed away Saturday, January 24, 2026. Born on November 25, 1952, in Columbus, Georgia, Chip was the son of the late Robert and Bettye Shivers. He grew up in Georgia, where he developed a passion for hunting, fishing, cooking, music, and UGA football a love he carried throughout his life.

Chip was well known for his adventurous spirit and zest for life, attending 35 Kentucky Derby races over the years. His dedication to his craft was evident in his many years owning and operating Chip’s Plumbing, where he built lasting relationships with customers and neighbors alike.

Alongside his parents, Chip was preceded in death by his beloved sister, Pamela Shivers. He leaves behind his loving girlfriend, Sue Ann Williamson; his children, Jennifer Fernandez (Steven), Devin Shivers (Amanda), and Colton Shivers; and his cherished grandchildren, McKinlee, Ridge, and Remi. Chip is also survived by other devoted family members and a host of close friends who will miss his warm personality, generous spirit, and contagious laughter. Along with his family and close friends Chip had a great love for animals and the many pets he had throughout the years.

Chip’s life will be honored at a Gathering of Friends on Friday, January 30, 2026, at J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. All are welcome to stop by and visit with the family during this time.

Chip will be remembered for his kindness, gracious presence, and unwavering love for his family and friends. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and friendship that will continue to inspire all who knew him.

Rest in peace, Chip. You will be forever missed and never forgotten.
