Cindy Martin

Mrs. Cindy Martin, age 58, of McDonough passed away, Sunday, April 18, 2021. Mrs. Martin was born on March 20, 1963 in Atlanta at Grady Memorial Hospital to Jack and Diane Minor, who have both preceded her in death. She grew up in Jonesboro. Mrs. Martin enjoyed spending time with her family. She also enjoyed the great outdoors whether it was her summer beach trips, camping in the mountains or fishing. Mrs. Martin was a longtime member of St. James Catholic Church. She was happily married to her husband, Russ Martin, for over forty years. She is survived by her husband Russ Martin, her daughter Ashley Butler (Alex), her grandchildren Austin Martin, Shawn Martin, Robert Martin, Lacey Butler, Cecilia Butler, London, Brooklyn and Jordan, her sisters Nancy Sewell, Margaret Vazquez (Valentin) and her brother David Minor (Sherri).  Along with her parents, Mrs. Martin is also preceded in death by her son Christopher Martin.  

A mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 22, 2021 at St. James Catholic Church, 1000 GA-155 N, McDonough, GA 30252. J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home, TE Davis Funeral Services, 2157 East Street, SE, Covington, GA 30014.

As of April 8, 2021, Governor Brian Kemp has lifted the restrictions for large gatherings and other recommendations throughout Georgia.  However, we ask that you still be respectful of the family and others during this time. If you are sick, not feeling well, or have any symptoms of COVID 19, please do not attend the service or services.  St. James Catholic Church is requiring that all who attend wear a mask.
