Cora "Tiny" Ellis Obituary

Mrs. Cora Junelle “Tiny” Ellis, age 89, passed away on March 27, 2026. She was born on June 6, 1936, and lived a long life marked by devotion to her family, quiet strength, and the simple joys that made her days meaningful.

Tiny was a woman who treasured home, family, and the people she loved. She was known for her gentle spirit, her steady presence, and the deep care she gave to those around her. She lived her life with humility and grace, and she was happiest when surrounded by the family she held so dear. Those who knew her will remember her as a loving mother, a devoted grandmother, and a faithful friend whose kindness left a lasting impression.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Marion “Shorty” Ellis, Sr., with whom she shared many years of life and companionship. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Emmett and Winnie Parish, and by her siblings, Bill Parish, Lanier Parish, Walker Parish, Tim Parish, Annie Lois Loyd, Peggy Parish, Myrtle House, Mildred Walden, Sarah Bohannon, Judy Allen, and Jerry Parish. Their memories remained close to her heart throughout her life.

Tiny is survived by her children, Marion Ellis, Jr., Jason Ellis, and his wife Jennifer. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Tristen and Braden Ellis, who were among the greatest joys of her life. In addition, she is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and close friends who will cherish her memory and carry forward the love she shared so freely.

Tiny was known to her grandchildren as “Ma”. They held a very special place in her heart. Tiny loved them deeply and was a big part of their lives. She helped raise them and took great pride in being present for them in ways both large and small. Her influence, care, and devotion helped shape their lives, and the bond they shared was one of the greatest blessings in her life. The time she spent with them was filled with love, guidance, and the kind of support that only a devoted grandmother can give.

Tiny enjoyed the Atlanta Braves and followed them with interest. She found joy in the familiar and appreciated the comforts of everyday life. She was a very simple woman who liked a good meal, and those who knew her understood that her happiness often came from life’s most ordinary pleasures. Her contentment, warmth, and unpretentious nature were part of what made her so beloved.

She will be remembered for her loving heart, her devotion to family, and the strength she carried throughout her life. Mrs. Cora Junelle “Tiny” Ellis will be remembered with love, respect, and gratitude for a life well lived.
