Coy Hays

Mr. Coy Hays, age 78, of Covington passed away July 27, 2024.  He was born May 30, 1946 in Holdredge, Nebraska to Laverne and Elaine Hays who have preceded him in death.  Mr. Hays grew up in Fairbury, Nebraska.  He was a talented carpenter and enjoyed woodworking, tinkering, fishing, talk radio, and history. 

Mr. Hays is survived by his children Treasa Waters (Michael) of Covington, Bobby Hays (Leigh) of Covington, Brittany Miller (Mark) of Rising Fawn, and Matt Hays (Nikki) of Monroe; his 11 grandchildren; his sisters Vivian Hedrick, Kay Hays, Anita Tate, and Marigrace Kemske; along with several nieces, nephews, other family members, and many close friends. 

Everyone is welcome to attend an informal Gathering of Family and Friends that will be held from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM of Saturday, August 3, 2024 at Solid Rock Baptist Church, 70 Social Circle Road, Social Circle, GA 30025. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude’s at www.stjude.org .
