Mrs. Cynthia Moina Harrison passed away peacefully on September 25, 2025, at the age of 76. Born on November 8, 1948, Cindy's life was one marked by an unwavering spirit of generosity, creativity, and joy that touched the lives of everyone around her.
Cindy was predeceased by her parents, James and Dorothy Harris, as well as her brother, James S. Harris, Jr. Her legacy continues through her devoted husband of 40 years, Lee Harrison, her cherished children, Mary Helen Soileau, Denice Zehler (married to Nick), and Travis Dean, and her adored grandchildren, Michelle Hickman (married to Caleb) and Jackson Zehler and his fiancé, Kaytlynn. The joy of her life extended to her great-granddaughter, Tuesday Hickman, and the anticipated arrival of a great-grandbaby. She is also survived by her sister, Candace Bridgatis.
Cindy's life was a testament to her loving nature and her passion for bringing warmth and beauty into the world. Her "She Shed" was a haven of creativity where she crafted countless treasures that brought smiles to many. Her love for her numerous pets over the years was a reflection of her boundless capacity to give and nurture.
An active and faithful member of Lovejoy United Methodist Church, Cindy's artistic flair was evident in the decorations she lovingly created for the church community. Her faith and dedication to her church family were sources of great comfort and inspiration to her and to those around her.
The holidays held a special place in Cindy's heart, with Christmas being her favorite time of the year. Her extensive collection of snowmen and Christmas villages was more than a hobby; it was a year-round celebration of joy and festivity that she delighted in sharing with others. The twinkling Christmas lights that adorned her home throughout the year were a beacon of her enduring spirit and love for the season.
In addition to her creative pursuits, Cindy was an active member of T.O.P.S (Taking Off Pounds Sensibly), where she formed lasting friendships and supported others in their journey towards health and wellness. Her involvement in the organization was yet another example of her commitment to community and mutual uplift.
A Memorial Service will be at 3 o’clock on Monday, September 29, 2025, at the Chapel of J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home with Pastor Gil Gainer and Pastor Kimbrough Pace officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm at the funeral home prior to the service.
