Daisy Mae Whitener

Ms. Daisy Mae Whitener, age 62, of Porterdale passed away Tuesday, October 27, 2020.  She was born in Blount County Tennessee on May 5, 1958 to Ralph and Mattie Whitener who have preceded her in death.  Daisy enjoyed arts and crafts, going on day trips, dancing, going to Church, and she loved Elvis.  She was a Baptist by faith and a member of Grace Baptist Church.  Daisy is survived by her sister Linda Finger, her niece and nephews Angela Bone, Joseph Finger (Nicole), and Richard Finger (Emma) her great nephews and niece Austin Bone, Alex O’Brien, Alexis Finger, and Daniel Finger. 

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 29, 2020 at 2 o’clock at the Chapel of J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home with Dr. Jerry Patterson officiating.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00pm until 2:00pm prior to the service.  J.C. Due to the COVID 19/Coronavirus Pandemic all Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) requirements will be followed.  There is a limit of 50 people at any large gathering, social distancing must be recognized, the use of mask is encouraged, and most importantly if you feel sick or have any symptoms of COVID 19 you will not be allowed to attend the service.  Please be respectful of the family during this difficult time and follow the requirements of the CDC.
