Dale Tingler

Mr. Dale Tingler, age 67, of Covington passed away Thursday, January 14, 2021.  He was born August 26, 1953 in Covington, Virginia and moved to Covington, Georgia where he was a 1971 graduate of Newton County High School. 

Mr. Tingler worked for Reynolds/Pactiv and retired in February of 2020 after a career that spanned 47 years.  Following retirement, he owned and operated Covington Pest Control.  Mr. Tingler loved old cars, going to car shows, NASCAR, he was a Georgia Bulldog fan, and an Atlanta Braves fan however, his most important hobby was his family.  He is a longtime member of the First Presbyterian Church of Covington. 

Mr. Tingler was preceded in death by his parents Arnold and Bonnie Tingler.  He is survived by his wife of 42 years Rita Tingler, his children Eric and Shelley Tingler of Covington, and Ansley Tingler of Social Circle his grandchildren Jake and Rena Kate his brother and sister-in-law Roger and Tootles Tingler of Covington, his niece and nephew Michelle Green (Kevin), and Neil Tingler (Renee) along with many friends.  The family will hold services at a later date.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Covington, 1169 Clark Street SW, Covington, GA 30014.  J.C.
