Dan "Cowboy" Womack Obituary

Mr. Dan “Cowboy” Womack, age 65, of Covington passed away Thursday, January 18, 2018.  He was born in Oxford on June 8, 1952 to Roscoe and Gracie Womack who have preceded him in death.  Cowboy was a hardworking man who enjoyed horses, and rodeos, even participating himself as a team roper, he was a healer, he also enjoyed going to auctions.  He was known to many as “Cowboy” and also “Pop”. 

Mr. Womack is survived by his longtime friend Charmane Ward his son Dan Womack, Jr of Walnut Grove his daughter Misty DeShay Gay and her husband Chris of Bogart his brother Roscoe Womack of Covington 3 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren along with his nieces, nephews, other family and a host of friends.

Graveside services for Mr. Womack will be held at 11 o’clock Sunday, January 21, 2018 at Oxford Historical Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Sunday prior to the service at graveside.   J.C.
