Obituary

Mr. Dave Groome, age 75, of Covington passed away August 23, 2023. He was born in Baltimore, Maryland on October 27, 1947 to Charles F. and Eleanor Whitenack Groome who have preceded him in death. Mr. Groome worked for and retired from Bard in Covington. While he was living in Florida he worked for the City of Hollywood and was a member of Pipe Fitters Local Union 725 in Miami, Florida. Mr. Groome loved his family very much and was an avid golfer. He is survived by his wife of 57 years Georgie Groome; his sons Chris Groome (Laura Tapling) of Dawsonville, Patrick Groome (Christine Quackenbush) of Sugar Hill, and Scott Groome (Consuella) of Loganville; his three grandchildren Amanda, Jacob, and Drew; along with numerous other family members and close friends. The family will hold a private service at a later date.
