Mr. David Johnson, age 61, Covington passed away Wednesday, September 22, 2021. He was born March 23, 1960 in Germany while his father was serving in the military. Mr. Johnson grew up in Columbus, Ohio and graduated from Independence High School. Following high school, he went to Ohio Institute of Technology. Mr. Johnson loved 50’s and 60’s music, repairing electronics, and his favorite time of year was Halloween. He was loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his parents John and Mary Wier Johnson, and his wife Tammie L. Johnson. He is survived by his children Jeremy and Tagan Johnson of Covington, Cody Johnson of Covington, Summer and Thomas Diebel of Walnut Grove, his grandchildren Austin White, Alicia White, Terrance Brannon, and Alexander Brannon his sister Marie Bogden of Savannah along with a host of other family and close friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Johnson will be held at 11 o’clock Saturday, October 2, 2021 at the Chapel of J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home. Interment will follow at New Covington Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00pm until 8:00pm on Friday, October 1, 2021. J.C.
